Postseason Performers: U16 Washington Pins

Teams traveled to Las Vegas and Orlando, respectively, to compete against some of the nation's best and most tested teams. Players and teams battled it out one last time before turning the page on the 2024 club season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Washington is taking a closer look at players by class and position who stood out in the post-season tournaments. The team finished second to a tough Alamo 16 Premier squad. Leipheimer played tremendous defense and passed dimes throughout the tournament. The 2026 Tahoma prospect played in control in the middle back, smoothly feeding her setters excellent tempo passes to get the offense humming. Torrell is extremely versatile, and she delivered strong play from both pins and as a middle blocker. The Bainbridge 2026 prospect has quick feet and works had closing and setting the block defensively. The rising sophomore from Gonzaga Prep has had a terrific year overall; she helped power the Bullpups to the state tournament in the fall and finished with a dynamic performance for CPA at USAV Nationals. Sandberg was huge in a tough CPA victory over fellow Washington squad SIVBC 16 Thunder. The team finished 6-4 overall, good for 11th place. Schoenberg was a consistent scorer from the pin and worked hard to put u a consistent block. The team dropped the final in three sets to CAQVC 18 Extreme. Kitiona attacks the block as an outside and isn't afraid to take a booming swing in big moments.
