About Kennedy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style to be resilient and motivated. I consistently strive to be a team player, whether that means giving my best effort or supporting my teammates on every point. I'm determined to never give up on a point, and I continually push myself to improve throughout the game. Additionally, I love being extremely positive on the court and aim to create an enjoyable environment

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a positive mentality and always look on the bright side, even in hard times. When a hard time does occur, I push myself to overcome the obstacle, persevere, and learn from it. As well, I love to cheer up others and have an helpful impact on them. Hence, you will always catch me with a smile on my face! However, I still have a competitive mentality and always strive for healthy competition.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the student council at my school, and have also just been accepted into Link Crew for the next school year. I also participate in a club named Best Buddies where I work with students with special needs and create a one-to-one friendship with them with lots of support. In addition, I have received multiple academic awards for my outstanding grades and GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the years, I have developed strong leadership skills and volleyball has been the biggest source in teaching me how to lead. I also participated in a leadership program and attended classes in a previous summer. These experiences helped me grow my skills, work more efficiently with all kinds of people, and strengthened my teamwork abilities.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Growing up I learned to overcome health obstacles. After facing many hard challenges, I realized it taught me how to keep going and not give up. It also revealed how determined I was in life and how hard working I was. I never let up my goals because of health challenges, even when they impacted my everyday life. Instead I learned how to deal with them and it helped me become a stronger person

What type of college are you looking for?

I am still exploring all my collegiate options as I begin my process of making visits and exploring schools and I would love to learn more about what schools have to offer. As for now, I am keeping all my options open as I decide on a career path.
