Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a quick, strong, and aggressive player. I have good footwork and transition quickly to get to the ball. I am able to hit quick sets (As and Bs) and slides efficiently. I cover a lot of space at the net and can get to the pins for blocks. My best approach touch is 9'11. I am currently serving at 90%, hitting .300, 47% kills and averaging 1 block per set.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play well under pressure, often ending close games with a hit, serve, or block. I stay positive on the court and on the bench, hyping up my team but keeping a straight serious face when needed under pressure. I respect my coaches and have been told I am extremely coachable; I'm able to make changes quickly.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was selected to be a part of an exclusive program in the Toledo-area called Youth Leadership Toledo. Only 2 students from each school were selected and only 60 total are part of the program. We will be implementing a community-centered project. I was selected as one of 5 students (the only sophomore) to attend a Leadership Conference with local athletes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been honored in many ways, and with many awards, from my school and community as being a leader. Through these opportunities I have developed ways to communicate with diverse groups to establish and carry out goals. I have a good sense of humor blended with a serious, goal-oriented personality.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to own my own architecture firm someday, so one where I can play volleyball and also get the best education possible to fulfill my dreams after I graduate.
