The third tier of the Greater KC Suburban Conference is upon us with the White Division. As a refresher, the conference is divided into four divisions based on school size.

Belton

Belton went 16-13-1 and will be in the mix when the smoke clears come October. They have a good 1-2 punch back in juniors [player_tooltip player_id='222056' first='Bella' last='Scherfenberg'] and [player_tooltip player_id='261314' first='Phoenix' last='Fogel']. Both have displayed their ability to play all over the court and bring different strengths to the team. They are their top two attackers returning. The back row will be navigated by Lilah Gardner, who was impressive last year. [player_tooltip player_id='774871' first='Lydia' last='Krabiel'] is back to help lead the offensive charge from the setter position.

Fort Osage

Osage hopefully gets a big piece of their line-up back this fall after losing her for a majority of the season. Epifania Salamasina is one of the top front-row players in the city and her contributions make a difference. In her absence, Lacey Zorn played good ball and will build on that this year. Look for junior Mya Holloway was a defensive anchor, tallying 303 digs. They went 16-11-1 in 2023.

Grain Valley

Grain Valley will look to build on their 19-10 record from a season ago and have the players to make it happen. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='238212' first='Kayla' last='Gallagher'] and her 313 kills return for the final run to a championship. She is joined by junior Kyleigh Casey who contributed over 200 kills. They return four players who had over 100 assists, which provides numerous options to dish the ball to capable attackers.

Platte County

Platte County has enjoyed great success this decade and one of few years where there are this many question marks from those on the outside looking in. Most years have been a reload but this may be the first rebuild in some time. They do have one glue piece back in [player_tooltip player_id='219756' first='Karlee' last='Riggs'], who had 262 kills last year. After her, the next highest returnee in kills is 85 and that is junior [player_tooltip player_id='525837' first='Malin' last='Cole'], who will be depended on to contribute at higher levels. The setter position is a question but junior Carissa Baron had 92 assists in limited action.

Raytown

Raytown went 8-10. There is no updated roster or 2023 stats available to conduct a preview.

Ruskin

Ruskin had a record of 6-17-1 last year. They had no stats available but have some players back from a season ago who should be improved in Dayvionna Hart, Shiloh Graves, and Jordyn Tinsley.

Truman

Truman finished the year 14-22. Like Ruskin, no stats were able to be located but they return players recognizable from their club seasons. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='219786' first='Jayden' last='Herl'], [player_tooltip player_id='223890' first='Avery' last='Patton'], and Addison Gardner to play a role in the team's success in 2024.

William Chrisman

6-24 ended up being the final record for Chrisman last year. They will depend on the leadership and play of senior Isabella Pocock and junior Bailey Foster to improve on last year's record.
