<p>With the season just underway, a lot of volleyball took place in the first week. After week one, here is a look at some of the top performances for the week.</p>

<p>Witherspoon started her 2<sup>nd</sup> season in dominating fashion and helped her team win 3-1 over Pattonville. The 6'3" outside finished the game with 22 kills on 32 attempts and added three blocks.</p>

<p>In the team's 3-0 sweep of Villa Duchesne, the opposite/setter finished with a huge stat line of 17 kills on 29 attempts and dished out 12 assists. Big performance to start the season for the Class 3 runner-ups.</p>

<p>The Cougars started the season in a battle with Westminster Christian, who lost in the 5<sup>th</sup> set 12-15. Katelyn filled the stats in the opener with five kills, 38 assists, and 25 digs.</p>

<p>Bennett helped her team to a 2<sup>nd</sup> place finish at the Brace for Impact MICDS tournament over the weekend. The 6'4" middle heading for Florida State was on fire over the weekend, finishing with 37 kills on .397 hitting.</p>

<p>Georgie returned to the court this season after her injury ended last season. The 5'11" outside put down 15 kills in a sweep over Clayton to start the season.</p>

<p>The fantastic setter for the Tigers put her team in position to pull off the upset of Cor Jesu but lost a brutal one 10-15 in the 5<sup>th</sup>. Nina, the dynamo setter, put up 38 assists in the loss, pushing her career assists total to 1518.</p>
