Early Season Breakout Players

The 6'0" hammering outside put 20 kills on 60 attempts, tossing in 13 assists in a 5-set win over Oakville. Most people know about Lauren in the STL Metro area, but she will be known statewide for her lethal attacking skills and for being a good setter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prepdig.com/player/bailey-biggs/">[player_tooltip player_id='222064' first='Bailey' last='Biggs']</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This will be Bailey's year after missing most of the season last year. She is a tough libero, and I expect she will keep her team in more games with her outstanding defense and passing. A quick defender who can read the ball exceptionally well and gets to balls you think are falling to the ground. She's no stranger to the program as she was one of the top attackers from last year's Class 2 runner-up. She will be the main offensive threat, top passer, and defensive player this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='735242' first='Sofee' last='Garrett'] – 5'9" - Middle - Fair Grove</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sofee played sparingly for the Class 2 state champions last year, and she's taking flight this season. After the first weekend tournament, she has the defending champions off to a 5-0 start, contributing 29 kills and 47 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='666303' first='Kalen' last='Post'] – 5'8 - Outside/Middle - El Dorado Springs</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>ELDO is off and running again, going 6-0 after the first week. Kalen will be used more offensively this season and already has 18 kills. Put her in the middle and set her slides because she runs a great slide and hits with a ton of power.
