Freed has been instrumental over the past few days as Elite VBTC 16 Black advanced to Friday among the top teams still in contention for the championship bracket. Wearing the libero jersey, she has been a consistent piece during this tournament in her effort that has included a full range of skills to help her team compete with quality and good success at times through the first few days. Where she has made the best impact is in her first-touch work as she is a primary passer with good defensive read and range. This group will compete in the Ruby division on the final day.

Freed wears the libero jersey well in that she has great tools to play this position effectively for the quality of offense her club team can generate. At 5’11, she has skills to an offensive arm but has been making big contributions as a primary first-touch contributer with her passing and defense. She has good range in her movement and length of her platform while also having good command of the court in leading this phase well among her teammates in the back row with her. In Sunday’s gold bracket, this squad will next play Metro 16 Travel, the opening day top seed for the 16 Open division.

Freed has been so impressive this club season wearing the libero jersey for her Elite VBTC 16 Black team. Her length at 5’11 is such a big asset to her ball control and defense as she can cover court well when moving her feet, and even more when she extends her platform. The Morehead State commit can also swing effectively as she was second offensively for Dublin Coffman in 2025 at 2.5 k/s and will head into her senior season as a key returning veteran for the Rocks next fall.
