About Daniela

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a quick, aggressive, and disciplined libero who thrives on reading hitters and making game-changing defensive plays. I take pride in my ability to cover the court, deliver precise passes, and bring energy to my team with relentless hustle and leadership

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a competitive and fearless player who thrives under pressure and embraces every challenge. I bring a relentless work ethic, strong leadership, and a positive mindset to every game and practice, always looking for ways to elevate my team and improve my game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of volleyball, I’m an active member of several clubs and organizations, including APPI, Black Student Union, Latinos Unidos, Jewish Club, Women in STEM, and Movie Club. Being part of these diverse groups allows me to connect with different communities, broaden my perspectives, and grow as a leader both on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a libero, I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills, constantly keeping my team energized and focused. My role requires quick decision-making, adaptability, and resilience under pressure, all of which translate into my everyday life. Through my involvement in various clubs, I’ve also built teamwork and inclusivity, learning how to connect with different people and contribute to

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is balancing school, work, and club volleyball due to financial hardships. Coming from a low-income family, affording club fees has been a struggle, but I’m determined to pursue my passion for the sport. To make it possible, I work while keeping up with my academics and training. This challenge has taught me resilience, time management.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive volleyball program where I can continue to grow as a player while also receiving a strong education. I want to be part of a team with a hardworking and supportive culture, where I can make an impact on the court. Academically, I’m looking for a school that offers opportunities in my areas of interest and supports student-athletes in balancing.
