About Bri

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as proactive and energetic.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would say I have a go-getter personality. I seek every opportunity to grow, improve, and learn, and I view every obstacle or challenge as a learning opportunity. I'd also like to think that I have a very stable, positive personality on and off the court. I greatly note how my personality affects others and apply this to every aspect of my interactions with others.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a full-time Truckee Meadows Community College student in the high school program, holding a 4.8 GPA. I am on track to graduate high school with three Associate of Science degrees—Biology, Public Health, and Kinesiology. I also work a part-time student worker job for the college as a Student Government Association Senator and volunteer weekly at Family Respite Care of Northern Nevada.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many leadership and communication skills as part of my experience at Truckee Meadows Community College. Being a college student, I have been placed into a mature environment where mature forms of communication are necessary to succeed. In addition, I have developed leadership through my experiences as a Senator for the college.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing three degrees, volleyball, a part-time job, and volunteer hours has been one of my biggest challenges, but rather than seeing all these as drawbacks, I see them as motivating factors. The more I can excel, the better. I find that doing so many activities at once pushes me to do my best in all of them to achieve multifaceted success.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a college that can cater to my academic and athletic needs. I would love a college that I could transfer my three degrees to and continue working on my Bachelor's from there. On top of that, I am seeking a college that has a friendly, competitive volleyball environment that can help cultivate my skills to the next level.
