How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I possess great athleticism, showcasing impressive speed, agility, and power on the court. I have a reputation for delivering under pressure, making crucial plays when it matters most. I play with a high level of passion and intensity, inspiring my teammates. I am a standout player on the court!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a confident person. I am very sure of myself, I am leader on and off the court. I am a passionate and emotional player who wears her heart on her sleeve.
I am an incredibly driven individual who sets high standards for myself and works tirelessly to achieve my goals. I embrace challenges and setbacks as opportunities for growth and improvement.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I actively train young girls, ages 6-10, in volleyball and mentor young Black girls through a program called “The Melanin Message.”
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As a new player to the Ben Davis program, I had to adapt quickly to my new teammates, coaches, and team dynamics. I developed a greater understanding of my own strengths, weaknesses, and motivations, allowing me to make informed decisions and adjustments. I developed strong communication skills to connect with my teammates. I embraced challenges, learned from failures, and continued to improve.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, but those challenges have helped me grow. I’ve learned to cope with adversity, push through challenges, and maintain my passion for the sport. I discovered the importance of speaking up for myself, asserting my worth, and fighting for my rights. And I’ve learned that I need to surround myself with people who believe in me, support me, and who will help me navigate the challenges I face.
