Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Hustle is a big part of how I take care of the back row and being aggressive to go after every ball. Everything starts with a pass but I'm not done with just that pass, I continue to help by covering our hitters and encouraging the team.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I work hard to put forth my best attitude, effort, and energy for the game and my team. Success is not just points on the board but also winning with teamwork and also the mental game.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in my church youth group and also volunteer at church camps during the summer as a camp counselor. I do choir with our homeschool organization as well.
In the beginning of 2024, I received the MCAA League Christian Character Award for our high school girls basketball team.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I've learned about being humble to realize when you're not always right. I volunteered last year to coach elementary kids track and high school boys volleyball and I learned to adapt to the needs each kid needed in their coaching, how to lead with a balance of discipline and grace, as well as patience towards others as well as myself. All while learning to still have fun through the process!
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Easy, my ACL tear in December of 2023. The absolute hardest thing I've ever had to face. It taught me how to persevere in the really hard times, how to have grace with myself when I set my expectations really high and how to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. Also knowing, that there was a reason I was going through this and it didn't just teach me, but those around me as well.
What type of college are you looking for?
Good community, the degree I'm looking to major in (Kinesiology), in Kansas, and good volleyball program
