Here’s a look at three Mercy players to watch in 2020.
Eleanor Beavin (L): The productive Beavin has been named Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Defensive Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. A First Team All-State selection, Beavin exited the 2019 season with 679 digs, 116 assists, 89 aces and 22 kills. Currently a junior, Beavin has committed to the University of Kentucky.
Allison Holloway (MB/OPP): One of the most underrated players for Mercy, Holloway was a consistent contributor throughout her junior campaign. As a junior in the 2019 season, Holloway delivered 208 kills, 106 blocks and 33 digs for the Jaguars.
Elena Scott (S): Another First Team All-State selection, Scott helped to lead Mercy throughout the 2019 season. Scott recorded 995 assists, 377 digs, 188 kills, 81 blocks and 78 aces as a junior. She has committed to the University of Louisville.
Mercy will enter the 2020 high school volleyball season as one of the state’s top teams. The Jaguars’ 2020 schedule will be finalized and released at a later date.
