There was a certain scrappiness to Laney Johnson out of Houghton, Michigan where she plays for Keweenaw Volleyball Club.  This setter knows how to defend and put her attackers in a position to score points.  This is one of those athletes where her intangibles are positive.  She works hard, is connecting with her team, and is always finding a way to better the ball.  This squad from Upper Peninsula finished in the final four of 17/18 club, dropping a three set heartbreaker in the semifinals.
