Mizuno Showcase: 15s that IMPRESSED!

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Mizuno Showcase in Wisconsin Dells started last Friday and was packed with talent. I walked around in the morning to see the 15s and 18th. There were teams from Nebraska to Iowa to Canada showcasing high level volleyball on the courts. I love covering the young, up and coming talent and thus focused the majority of my morning covering the 15u courts. At only 15u, Murch works hard to deliver clean sets when in the pocket and out. She jump sets with ease, can deliver the ball to the pin, and knows how to get all of her attackers involved. She read the ball well, tracked down balls for impressive saves, and had quick reactions when covering her attackers. I love it when the ball is reveresed and right side attackers deliver lethal blows. Smith impressed repeatedly from the right pin by taking big swings and terminating both down the line and cross. Smith also was a beast on defense. She reads the defense well and did a good job isolating her attackers. She was able to find her middles when off the net. When playing the backrow, she was constantly hustling and moving to cover ground, making several impressive one handed digs and saves. I was equally impressed with her front row play. She transitions quickly off the net, has quick footwork, and has a fast arm swing to deliver powerful cross shots. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
