She takes pride in reflecting on the journey of African Americans and how far her community has come since emancipation. Kaydyn’s biggest inspiration is her father, who she describes as her source of motivation through every challenge and success.
I want to make my dad proud, so that he can be proud to call himself MY dad.
His support pushes her to keep improving and strive for excellence both on and off the court. Looking ahead, Kaydyn has ambitious goals, including playing Division I and professional volleyball while pursuing a career as an orthopedic trauma surgeon.
