Top 5 Liberos

1. [player_tooltip player_id='454351' first='Mallory' last='Johnson'], Byron Center/FaR Out: It takes a lot for a libero to be top-ranked in an entire class, but Johnson lives up to the hype. Teams actively try to avoid her, but she's so quick and agile, she still gets to nearly every ball.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='442994' first='Makayla' last='Naves'], Davison/Legacy: Naves has active eyes and good footwork to be able to track down the ball with relative ease. She stays light on her feet to be ready for anything that comes her way, but also has a dynamite serve.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='442971' first='Brenna' last='Mirovsky'], Oxford/Michigan Elite: Mirovsky brings a lot of skills to the floor, as she's able to also play setter. She has a great feel for the game and her teammates and knows how to make a timely play no matter where she is on the court.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='467951' first='Rylee' last='Paddock'], Jenison/FaR Out: Paddock brings size and length to the position, nearing 6'0”. She's got the ability to cover a lot of space with her dives and sprawls, but usually finds herself in good position to make a clean dig anyway.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='442967' first='Addison' last='Stepp'], South Lyon East/Legacy: Stepp has quietly went about her business, making high-profile digs against the best in the country. She stays laser focused during pressure points and will leave it all on the line to make a play.

Others To Watch

[player_tooltip player_id='523872' first='Anika' last='Jaroszewski'], Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite: Jaroszewski plays with a lot of effort and energy. She is able to make some challenging digs thanks to good timing and awareness.

[player_tooltip player_id='442980' first='Gabby' last='Lavoie'], Northville/L2: A defender with a lot of promise, Lavoie already has a pretty polished game, but will continue to get better as she works on the small details of the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='454360' first='Rease' last='Buza'], Eisenhower/Michigan Elite: Buza has the opportunity to play alongside other great defenders, which has helped raise her game quickly. She shows a lot of court IQ to go alongside with her athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='442968' first='Amelia' last='Vogelheim'], Brighton/L2: Vogelheim isn't afraid to go after the big play and that kind of heart and drive should help her continue to make big gains in her game over these next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'], OLSM/High Performance: Another defender with a lot of length and athleticism, Kapeller brings different dynamics to the position. She is able to stay low to the ground while also covering a lot of space.
