Kudic first caught my attention when watching her starting as a Waterloo West freshman last season. Operating the state’s largest classification for a sound squad, she looked confident and competent. Seeing her again at the Prep Dig Iowa Midwest Live Showcase in late May, it was obvious Kudic had been working on her game. Everything was sharper and more consistent. Lacking the prototypical height for a front-row performer, Kudic makes up for it with explosion off of the court, a strong vertical leap and by generating power in her swing. She shows good timing when throwing up the block and is aggressive in slowing the opponent’s attack.
