–

It's been nearly 2 months to the date since we've had a commitment catch-up. And boy have the commitments been coming in like wild fire.

We've seen stars from the 25 and 26 class find their place in the last 2 months. It looks to be a preview to what should be an electrifying summer with a stud 2027 class' June 15th date on the horizon. As the club season comes to a close, i wouldn't be shocked to see even more news come out from the 26 group as well.

This next installment features a load of some of the top middle blockers that the 2026 class has to offer. Let's take a look.

Leah Burlison to Palm Beach Atlantic University

6'0 MB - Hudsonville/MVA

There has been a lot of talent coming out of the Hudsonville cannon as of late, and this update will be no different. Next up from the Eagles, Leah Burlison has been on the come up for the last several months. She's been elevating her game so well, she finds herself Florida bound to join one of the strongest Division II programs in the country.

Heading to Palm Beach Atlantic University, Burlison announced her commitment in mid-April. The burgeoning middle blocker had a standout season with Hudsonville last fall. Since, she has become a mainstay for the [program_tooltip program_id='430324' first='Michigan' last='Volleyball Academy']'s 171 team.

[player_tooltip player_id='261135' first='Clare' last='Beazley'] to Davenport University

5'10 MB - Saline/L2

Speaking of middles that have been climbing the ranks, [player_tooltip player_id='261135' first='Clare' last='Beazley'] is one that many need to keep an eye on. A rather later addition to the 2026 radar, Beazley has quickly done some fine tuning in her game. She's an extremely athletic body on the court that could do just about anything. Her athleticism lends itself extremely well to her position, but could translate well into another.

While some would say Beazley is undersized, who better to learn from than her future head coach, Charley Andrews. Andrews was a standout undersized middle herself who found a lot of success in a variety of sports, let alone positions on the court. Beazley, in many ways, is reminiscent of her future head coach which could be an exciting mentorship to watch grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='226939' first='Maggie' last='Szlachcic'] to Tusculum University

5'11 OH - Hudsonville/FaR Out

While she is the lone non-middle in the group, [player_tooltip player_id='226939' first='Maggie' last='Szlachcic'] joins Leah Burlison as ANOTHER Hudsonville standout to take their talents to the next level. Szlachcic has been a steady presence in this class. Playing on both the left and right pin, we really got to see what this player was made of this fall as one of the main point producers for the Eagles.

Like Burlison, Szlachcic will look to another strong Division II program in Tusculum University. 2023 saw TU as one of the top in the division. While this past season, the results have dipped, a player like Szlachcic could be the perfect addition to return atop of the standings.

[player_tooltip player_id='226899' first='Cree' last='Hollier'] to Austin Peay University

5'9 MB - Mercy/Legacy

Arguably, [player_tooltip player_id='226899' first='Cree' last='Hollier'] is one of the most exciting players to catch in action. While some may say she is small in stature, none will say she is small once they see her play. At 5'9, Hollier has one of the most electric verticals in the state. Not only can she explode into orbit, but she does it so fast. She's been seen in so many different roles with her teams throughout the year, but her fast twitch nature always finds her back in the middle.

After an exciting high school and club season, Hollier announced that she will be heading south to join forces with the Governors of Austin Peay. This is a program undergoing VAST changes with recent coaching moves and plenty of transfers. APU is typically a program that doesn't sit too high in volleyball. However, with all of the change and the grab of someone to the caliber of Hollier? It will be quite interesting to see this program evolve in the next several years.

[player_tooltip player_id='226875' first='Ella' last='Andrews'] to Stanford University

6'4 MB - Mercy/Legacy

This is a commitment I feel as though everyone knew for a hot minute. If you are in the know, you knew that [player_tooltip player_id='226875' first='Ella' last='Andrews'] was going to don the Cardinal. Due to Stanford's rigorous admissions process, many do not announce their athletic commitments until they know of their acceptances into the school. Alas, the time has come and Andrews is Palo Alto bound.

Andrews has long been one of the IT girls of this 2026 class. Standing well above her peers at 6'4, Andrews has an immense presence at the net. She is not only a superb blocker, but a rather agile attacker as well. She gives the complete look in the middle and is so hard to contend with as she is one of the best in her position.
