About Viera

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I always give 100% on the court. I focus on playing with quickness and athleticism, and I try to read the entire court to make smart setting decisions. I love playing with intensity and bringing energy by cheering on my teammates—I want to see them succeed just as much as I want to play my best.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm naturally more quiet and reserved, but I understand the importance of stepping up and being vocal for my team. I stay calm under pressure and try not to panic in tough situations. No matter what, I always push through adversity and work to stay positive and focused.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've learned how to take instruction and stay focused under high-pressure situations. This past season, I’ve grown a lot as a leader both on and off the court. My coaches often tell me I’m a natural leader and that my teammates look to me—even though I’m not always the loudest voice out there. I’ve come to realize that leadership isn’t just about volume, but about consistency, support, and setting

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced the challenge of changing positions after four years of playing setter for both school and club volleyball. This season, my school coach moved me to outside hitter and right back. While I’m familiar with right back from my experience as a setter, adjusting to this new role has pushed me to grow and adapt. It’s been a learning experience, but I’m committed to doing whatever my team
