About Harlyn

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I consider myself one of the hype people of my team. I’m always hyping people up and always bringing the energy. My mentality is that I have to keep playing no matter up and to never back down.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am/have been in National honor society and beta club, FBLA, and plan to do JAG and Science Olympiad for my senior year. Over the last three years I have received top student in most of my classes, and was recently an usher for my high schools graduation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

With most of our captains and leaders leaving, filling that role and being the person my team leans on and looks up to has been a huge quality I have developed. Playing as a team is one of the biggest keys to winning. Having that teamwork and effort makes the game fun and having the quality to do that is huge. For community service, I am active

Slone is also a sound hitter from both the middle and the pins for the Cats. Slone takes good approaches to the net and places balls well. Slone makes sound passes then quickly transitions to offense. Slone also scores a number of points on service aces. Slone had nine kills, four aces and three digs in the win for the Cats. Slone said after losing the first set, the Cats needed to play their game no matter what team is on the other side of the net.
