About Reese

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am aggressive and strive to consistently deliver strong kills that are difficult to dig. I have a powerful, consistent arm swing, with the ability to finish points. I can attack from many angles, including cross-court, down the line, and from the back row with the ability to adjust to various sets, hitting situations, finding open spots, tooling the block, tips and roll shots to score.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Staying focused and not dwelling on mistakes or future outcomes. I stay resilient even through high pressure situations. I have confidence in my abilities and my teams capabilities. I stay positive and am always encouraging my teammates to boost their morale and our teams morale. Communication with my teammates is essential to improve our performance as a team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Currently play for Capital Volleyball Club in Bismarck, ND. Scholastically I am on the Honor Roll.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Strong communication, positive, never quit attitude, strength under pressure, reliable teammate, leader by example, encouraging teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Moving from OH to RS during a couple club tournaments due to teammates missing or injured appeared as a challenge in the moment, but looking back I am grateful to have had the opportunity to overcome the challenge, as it has only aided me in becoming a more well-rounded player.

#29 Matter jumps really well on the pins and will match her upward explosive power with a quick arm that can do a lot of scoring in a match. Her athleticism and all-around skills could lead to some real breakout performances this fall. Matter is definitely a springy outside that you should keep on your radar.
