About Elise

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a lefty who loves reading the defense to make plays even when I am off. I play Outside and Right-side, I also play back row, so even when I am not front row, I am still trying to be a threat. My setters run a lot of plays from the back row for me. I am always trying to be smart and utilize the opponent, whether that be the blocker's hands or finding a hole. I am also a strong blocker.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

l always cheer on my teammates and try to bring energy to the court. I love when we have a big play because I make sure to go crazy to get my team's energy up. I go into every game thinking about how I can help my team succeed and perform the best we can.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am the National Honor Society's President. I was the Junior Student Government Officer this past year. I am in the praise team at school and lead chapel every week. I have received the All-A honor roll every year. I was awarded the Christian Witness Award in 2023.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I learned to step up as a leader for my team, especially when we are down. I try to lead by example by trying to stay up even when it is hard. I love when I am given the opportunity to help others, I will help pack lunches and work at a cafe that gives out food to the community who may not have any.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I always work really hard and I sometimes push myself too hard, but I have found the balance.It just took some time, but my team and coaches have really helped me improve greatly from last season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a great team environment, like a family feel. I am also really academically driven, so I would like a school that would not just prioritize my athletic ability but also my academics.
