About Isla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Locked in with high energy on every play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Always positive and quick with encouragement to all teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer at Countryside Christian Church in the 2 year old classroom and vacation bible school. Also with Maxx & Me Pet Rescue. No awards just rewards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I had very little experience in volleyball when I started club at 13U. I took every opportunity to get extra training in at clinics and camps, gym workouts to get stronger physically and mental training with NeuroBeast. I wanted to be the best teammate possible. By 15U I was team Captain and made Varsity as a Freshman and again as a Sophomore.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Our house was flooded during Hurricane Helene, we are living in an RV on our property while the house is being repaired, it's a good thing we are a close family already! I was also injured and sidelined for 5 weeks. I didn't skip practice, a workout (just altered a bit) or a tournament. Even discovered I can hit PINs as well as middle. finished the season as a 6 rotation outside hitter.

What type of college are you looking for?

High Academic school for a degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology.
