How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a focused, and resilient defender who reads hitters well and stays aggressive. I bring energy, communication, and consistency to the back row, always ready to hustle for the ball and keep plays alive.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a competitive and resilient player with a positive attitude. I stay locked in during pressure moments, lift up my teammates, and always look for ways to grow and improve.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have participated in the roc/ctec program in Bakersfield for 2 years, my first program was early childhood education and my 2nd year I took sports medicine, I am also the secretary of the naacp youth council hear in Bakersfield.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through volleyball and my community work, I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. As a player, I know how to communicate under pressure and support my team no matter the score. Coaching and volunteering have also taught me patience, responsibility, and how to uplift others on and off the court.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of my biggest challenges was starting a little later than everyone else, having to learn the fundamentals and put in work outside of the gym plus having to learn how to become a better athlete mentally because at the end of the day volleyball is just as much a mental game as it is physical.
