DuPage Elite 17 United was the lone challenger to Iowa Select’s hegemony in the 17s/18s semifinals. Norkett was a key factor in that barnstorming journey and exhibited her extraordinary development at the outside hitter spot. She became increasingly comfortable with unconventional shots as the weekend wore on. This creativity pushed 17 United through some marathon matches and put Norkett on our radar heading into future qualifiers.

Norkett has been a prior standout at Prep Dig showcases, but now her all-around skills are translating to a tournament environment. DuPage Elite 17 United saw a big spike in offense production whenever Norkett rotated into the frontcourt. She carved through defenses in Saturday’s pool play and worked on diversifying her arsenal on the left pin. Her best asset was her power, which confounded floor defenders who seemed primed to make a play. Norkett’s Chicago-area crew has captured everyone’s attention after a 3-0 opening-day mark.
