Many 14-year-old club volleyball players are eighth graders. However, some 14-year-old club volleyball players completed their freshman seasons with high school programs in the fall.
Here are 10 Louisville 14s to watch.
Avarie Adams: At 6-1, Adams is the tallest player on the KIVA 14 Red roster. An eighth grader, Adams (Holy Trinity) is a force at the net and expected to help lead her club team throughout its season.
Camilla Adams: A 5-8 eighth grade opposite hitter/defensive specialist, Adams is a solid performer. A student-athlete from St. John Paul II, Adams competes for Union 14-1.
Brooklyn Campisano: A productive player, Campisano is one of three defensive specialists for KIVA 14 Red. Campisano is an eighth grader that attends St. Edward.
Emma Closurdo: A 5-8 eighth grade outside hitter from South Oldham Middle, Closurdo is a productive performer. Closurdo is competing for Union 14-1.
Cate Cole: A 5-10 outside hitter who delivers offensively, Cole is playing for KIVA 14 Red. Cole is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity.
Jenna Heidbreder: A versatile player, Heidbreder is a six foot eighth grade middle hitter/outside hitter. Heidbreder (Heritage Hills) is competing for KIVA 14 Red.
Macy Lentz: A 5-10 eighth grade setter for KIVA 14 Red, Lentz is capable of helping to produce offensively. Lentz is from Christian Academy-Louisville.
Cecelia Roberts: A six-foot middle blocker, Roberts is a freshman at DuPont Manual High School. Following her high school season, Roberts is competing for Union 14-1.
Emery Stephens: A 5-5 eighth grade defensive specialist from North Oldham Middle, Stephens is poised to enter one of the state’s top prep programs. But first, she’s competing for Union 14-1 in her latest club season.
McKenzie Wagner: A 5-7 setter/opposite hitter, Wagner is another versatile performer among several Louisville-based standouts. Wagner is from Saint Mary Academy and taking the floor for Union 14-1.
