About Monroe

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game day play style as competitive and team driven. I thrive under pressure. I also make sure to stay vocal and encourage my teammates. I focus on doing my job while also supporting my teammates to keep our chemistry strong throughout the match.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am focused, positive, and competitive. I stay disciplined in everything I do and always give 100%. I will always lift others up while staying focused on my own tasks.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am active in club volleyball as well as playing for my high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I demonstrate strong leadership qualities through my involvement in various activities. I volunteer as a coach for young volleyball players, serve in ASB, and also volunteer at my church by working with young children every Sunday.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges, but the one that stands out is being bullied in 6th grade. It was a painful experience that changed me, but it also pushed me to grow stronger and more compassionate. Because of it, I have made it a priority to be kind to others. It’s also helped me stand up for people who might be going through the same hurt I once felt.
