These Players Would Help Any Program: IL Stock Up Showcase

With so much incredible talent at the Stock Up Showcase in IL there were many more players to cover and tell you about. This showcase consisted of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. All of these players would help out any team that they were on.   Make sure you take notice of these ladies who put their skills on display at the Prep Dig Illinois Stock Up Showcase.    Berry girl had some explosiveness to her. She definitely could hit down on that ball for kills. Seemed very athletic and her approach and route to lift up for swings seemed to be very smooth. Saw her make a ton of good contact on balls. She is someone who can swing from either side of the court, where some girls "look different" she gives the same swing from either OH or RS.     Kaleigh was a very hard worker. I liked the way she worked & hustled in getting over for blocks. She had very good speed and lift for a MB. She could hit as well. Made smart decisions at the net. She looked like she was having fun while working extremely hard, I thought that was very impressive. She understands the MB position, and did it well.     Erin displayed some great game during the showcase. Watching her play it wouldn't shock me if she could play some all-around for her club. She seemed to be skilled in her footwork at the net when rising up to try and block and when approaching for hitting. She had some scrap and fight in her. Was great seeing her use all her hits as well, cut shots, off speed, and could turn it over on you as well.     I got to see Ellery do some setting and she impressed. She was athletic enough to make a jumping set on the move whether it be to the OH or with a back set to RS. She seemed very accurate with her sets. She had nice touch when had to use her platform too. It appears she's played some DS/L as well, so that just makes her even more versatile.     Fun hitter to watch. She seemed to be able to take any set whether good or bad and turn it into a hit. She had great down spin on the ball when she took her swings. I noticed some girls having trouble tracking/controlling her ball. Nice size, and can seem to give you great swings from either side of the court.     I thought this girl was very confident on the court. I saw her in the back row and she did a great job passing, always being in the right spot and never ever seemed rattled. She had very smooth feet and moved quickly to her spots. Was able to read what hit was coming and anticipated well. I have her down as a DS/L but appears she can hit from the OH/RS as well. Type of player you want on your squad.     I believe Riley has the attributes to be a standout. She has good size and arm length for the MB position. On the court she was moving very well, quick feet and jumping. Saw her at the showcase use some smart tips, but can hit as well. Also, saw her get a lot of touches on the ball blocking at the net. Keep your eye out for this one.     I thought this DS/L did a great job at the showcase. She is 5'10" and I believe her length helped her track down some balls. I saw her keep some plays alive by sprawling out to get a touch and keep the play going. For passing she kept a nice easy relaxed stance whether it was serve receive or a well hit ball. She always seemed to be in the right spot on the court.     I was impressed Madeline. She was a setter who could make all the reads whether it was offensively or defensively. Was good in serve receive, and is crafty with her sets. She can make a great set from really every angle and knows how to accurately set up her hitters. Nice size for your setter and had good feet and hands. Serves a rope over the net as well.     Laci makes good contact with the ball when she swings. Because of that it gives her great control over the ball. She's a smart hitter. Can beat you different ways with her hitting. I looked into more of her highlights as well and you can tell she understands the game of volleyball and how to beat her opponent. Accuracy when hitting is key, and Laci can find her spots.    This list of sophomore, juniors, and seniors definitely left their mark at the showcase. These girls would be a great fit for any team anywhere. A lot of these girls are versatile and or could fit in or show out for any club or college.
