<p>The 2020 club volleyball season is providing an opportunity for players from across Kentucky — including outside hitters from Louisville — to continue to improve and even flourish prior to taking the floor as high school freshmen later in the year. </p>
<p>Here are six Louisville eighth grade outside hitters to watch.</p>
<p><strong>Cate Cole:</strong> A 5-10 eighth grade outside hitter, Cole is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity School. A consistent hitter, Cole has produced for multiple teams thus far in her volleyball career. Currently, Cole is competing for KIVA 14 Red. </p>
<p><strong>Ava Hubbs:</strong> A 5-8 eighth grade outside hitter/opposite hitter, Hubbs is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity School. A player who has shown versatility throughout her volleyball career, Hubbs has delivered from multiple positions. Hubbs is competing for KIVA 14 White in the 2020 club season. </p>
<p><strong>Lilly Tappel:</strong> A 5-7 eighth grade outside hitter, Tappel is a student-athlete from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. With an ability to finish strong, Tappel is a proven contributor for her current team. Tappel is competing for Union Asics 14-1. </p>
<p><strong>Keller Mobley:</strong> A 5-10 eighth grade outside hitter, Mobley is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Model. Looking to build momentum prior to her freshman season in high school, Mobley is already a solid hitter. Mobley is competing for KIVA 14 White. </p>
<p><strong>Chloe Smith:</strong> A 5-10 eighth grade outside hitter, Smith is a student-athlete from St. Margaret Mary. Another solid hitter, Smith is an athletic eighth grader. Smith is competing for KIVA 14 Red. </p>
<p><strong>Ava Swan:</strong> A 5-9 eighth grade outside hitter, Swan is a student-athlete from Highland Latin. Accomplished as a hitter, Swan also fares well when she has to pass or dig. Swan is competing for KIVA 14 Red. </p>
