Six Louisville Freshmen Setters to Watch

<p>Freshmen setters are among the young players rising up the high school and club volleyball ranks in Louisville. </p> <p>Here are six Louisville freshmen setters to watch.</p> <p><strong>Cameron Downs:</strong> A 5-8 freshman setter, Downs is a student-athlete from Mercy Academy. A talented young player for the current high school state runner-up, Downs delivers when it comes to setting teammates. Downs is competing for Union Asics 15-2. </p> <p><strong>Evie Hart:</strong> A 5-6 freshman setter/defensive specialist, Hart is a student-athlete from reigning state champion Assumption High School. Displaying the ability to set consistently while showing versatile by playing defensive specialist as well, Hart will work to contribute on the high school level soon. Hart is competing for KIVA 15 Black. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="187951" first="Savanah" last="Jolly"]:</strong> A 5-7 freshman setter, Jolly is a student-athlete from Male High School. Jolly chipped in for her high school team as a freshman and appears poised to enjoy additional playing time in 2020 as she continues to progress. Jolly is competing for Union Asics 15-2. </p> <p><strong>Lainee Mack:</strong> A 5-7 freshman setter, Mack is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. Looking to build momentum prior to the 2020 high school volleyball season, Mack is showing the ability to run an offense. Mack is competing for KIVA 15 Black. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106695" first="Megan" last="Sweeney"]:</strong> A 5-8 defensive specialist/setter, Sweeney is a student-athlete from Eminence High School. A key player for her high school team in 2019, Sweeney registered over 75 kills, 100 assists and 40 service aces. Sweeney is competing for Union Asics 15-1. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106669" first="Whitney" last="Woodrow"]:</strong> A six-foot freshman setter, Woodrow is a student-athlete from perennial prep frontrunner Assumption High School. Among the state’s most talented young volleyball players, Woodrow is poised to compete for playing time on the high school varsity level for the state’s top program. Woodrow is competing for KIVA 15 Red. </p>
