Cronin is athletic and a big reason for Medford’s rise over the past couple of high school seasons. She is a 1st team all-state selection in class A and provides an athletic presence in the front row. She elevates well and can move the ball around with good heat and range. She also has electric energy in providing a big spark across the front line as a primary point scorer and athletic blocker that can apply great pressure to opposing attackers. She is a big part of this NL 17-Red squad that is 24-7 overall, including a 10-0 showing at the President’s Day Classic in Omaha.
Maddy Hornyak – 5’11 | OH | HS: Lakeville North | Club: Northern Lights 17-1
A class AAA all-state honorable mention selection, Hornyak is among elite company with this honor that includes several other all-state recognized athletes that are part of her club team as well. One of the most feared squads in the U17 age group, Hornyak his holding her own well with her athleticism and arm skills on the left pin. The work load and confidence she advanced during the high school season has carried over well to club as she has shown her ability to score points against some of the nation’s best competition. She and her club team are currently 23-5 on the season.

Johnson was a Northwest Suburban all-conference selection as an outside hitter. She may be one of the more underrated pin attackers in this class although she has exceptional length that benefits her well in her contact point and range defensively. She has good slow-to-fast momentum that leads to good arm work and torque at the peak of her jump. She can hit over, around, and through the block to a variety of zones. She has good platform skills in the back row and develops good angles in utilizing her length to cover a lot of the court from middle back.

– 5’10 | OH/MH | HS: Stewartville | Club: SMV 18 Black
Stecher is a versatile attacker with good movement patterns and timing both in the middle and on the pin. She is athletic and fluid with good all-around skills to contribute in the back row as well. She is a member of a highly competitive SMV 18 Black squad that has seen its fair share of quality competition so far this club season. As a member of one of the best class AA high school programs at Stewartville, Stecher was a key element to their 2019 state title and was a Hiawatha Valley all-conference selection for her efforts.

A Suburban East all-conference and class AAA all-state honorable mention selection, Galvin is providing big offense for her Northern Lights 17-2 team. Her six-rotation skills are some of the most complete among Minnesota’s 2021 pin attackers. She pursues the ball well through her approach work and can crush mid-tempo speed with great movement and range at the peak of her jump. She is stable and rangy in the back row as well with good platform work in serve receive and defense.
