With the third iteration of the Stock Up Showcase, this has become the perfect stage for talent across the stage to preview what is to come in the fall.   This year was no different. But what was different about this summer was that there was another incentive to showing up and showing out. Being an Avoli Committed Athlete is being the player that embodies all of these particular traits that represent the Avoli brand. For the Stock Up, look no further than an emerging junior middle blocker, [player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'].   Coming from a bit of a grey area in the state of Michigan, it's not everyday you find a talent like this. However, she is a real treat to catch live. if you haven't already, make the plans to see her.   <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2025/08/68-Nemiah-Carper-1.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-877935" style="width:274px;height:auto" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">[player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'] </figcaption></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Build Up</h2>   Last fall was a bit of a 'warning' season for [player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper']. I refrain from saying breakout season, because while she was a standout in the Division 3 space, I don't believe we saw the best of her. But based off of what we saw from the Stock Up, I think that breakout season is well upon us.   Alongside fellow underclassman, and another showcase standout, [player_tooltip player_id='808192' first='Reese' last='Williams'], Carper was named to the Division 3 All-State list. Landing on the second team and leading her team to a Top 15 ranking in Division 3, Carper and Roscommon had turned a lot of heads. This wasn't your typical powerhouse program either. Fueled by youthful talent and a lot of drive, they now had our full attention.   Seeing Carper and the core of this Roscommon team signed up to attend the Showcase was a very exciting feat. We knew we were in for a treat.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Stand Out at Stock Up</h2>   This was the first I got to see Carper live and in action. No more highlight tapes, no more hearsay, the Stock Up was when we got to see it all. Right off of the bat, I could tell that [player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'] was the real deal.   From the warm up, to the positional section and to game play, Carper impressed every step of the way. One of the biggest presences in the gym, Carper stood around 6'1 and jumped out of the gym. With her arm speed, at full elevation, she was bombing balls left and right. She was also extremely adaptable and made good with just about any set delivered her way. I was also impressed with her net defense as well. In the lower divisions, the skill of blocking often gets overlooked, but Carper seems to be a natural at the net.   <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2025/08/DSC06198.jpg?w=769" alt="" class="wp-image-877937" style="width:212px;height:auto" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">[player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper']</figcaption></figure>   Much like when she swings on the ball, Carper is extremely adaptable on and off the court. Playing with so many new players around you, Carper held a strong composure. While she may not have been the loudest, Carper spoke loud enough by way of her actions. Her kindness and support of her peers did not go unnoticed.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Looking to the Future</h2>   Like I said, I don't think we have seen the best of [player_tooltip player_id='586777' first='Nemiah' last='Carper'] quite yet. This fall is looking to be the breakout season for this star.   Fresh off of the presses, MIVCA announced their preseason rankings for Division 1 through 4 and Roscommon sits atop the Top Five in Division 3. Despite an end of season Top 15 ranking, Roscommon proved themselves with a near Final Four appearance in the post-season.   Heavily influenced by the play of this juggernaut, Carper makes a huge difference at the net. Her physicality and size is something not many can compete with.
