Brinegar (pictured) gave the Engineers the balance they needed to bring home the first district championship in program history in the fall. Brinegar has a sound vertical to take solid rips. She makes smooth transitions from defense to offense. Brinegar showed she can handle well-struck balls in the back row. She only slides when needed. Brinegar also has a tough serve. Brinegar had 144 kills, 171 digs and 45 aces for Estill County in the fall.

Brinegar has turned into a nice option offensively with her 16-inch vertical. Brinegar transitions from defense to offense quickly and is not afraid to slide into good position to make crisp first passes. Bringar lands sound hits on good liberos. Brinegar can handle deep hard shots in the three zone. Brinegar attributed her athleticism to genetics and the fact she’s a three-sport athlete. Brinegar also plays basketball and runs track and field so using different muscle groups only helps her physically.
