About Mckenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Mckenzie is a high-energy, team-first player who brings passion and enthusiasm to every game. She works hard on and off the court, always giving 100% effort. Known for her positive attitude, she consistently lifts up her teammates with encouragement and energy. Mckenzie leads by example—whether it's hustling in drills, supporting others, or rallying the team in tough moments.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

She's loud in the best way—constantly communicating, celebrating every point, and keeping her teammates fired up. Her energy is contagious, and she knows exactly when to pump up the team or keep everyone focused. Mckenzie is the kind of player who dives for every ball, hustles on every play, and leads by example with her work ethic.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Web Leader, Junior National Honors Society, Volleyball, Softball Player, and Swimmer.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed strong leadership and teamwork skills, especially through volleyball. On the court, I’ve learned how to communicate clearly, support my teammates, and stay positive even in tough situations. I always try to lead by example—whether it’s hustling after every ball, staying focused during games, or encouraging others to keep their heads up.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is being too hard on myself. I’ve always set high standards and expect a lot from myself, especially in sports and school. While this drive has helped me stay focused and motivated, it’s also made it tough at times when I don’t meet my own expectations. Over time, I’ve learned that being a strong teammate and leader isn’t about being perfect—it’s about how you respond.

What type of college are you looking for?

Mckenzie is looking for a college where she can grow both as a student and an athlete. She’s drawn to a school with a strong sense of community—where teammates feel like family, coaches are supportive, and everyone is working toward a common goal. She values a competitive volleyball program that challenges her to keep improving, while also prioritizing academics and personal development.
