About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an explosive and disciplined player who focuses on consistency, smart decision-making, and being a dependable teammate. I bring intensity on every play while staying calm under pressure. I also work hard no matter what and am positive even when things are tough.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very competitive but also team-oriented, I always push myself and my teammates to improve. I’m coachable, resilient, and motivated to keep learning and growing on and off the court. I think it is really important to have strong relationships with your teammates because they are your family too. I am also a kind and funny girl who always tries to be there for others and just builds connections.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m in Pre-Med Club and active in philanthropy initiatives. I’ve also received academic awards for my grades in honors and AP classes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball and academics, I’ve developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I value hard work, accountability, and supporting others, whether it’s on the court, in the classroom, or in community service. I think being there for people is also huge. Knowing that you can always have someone to count on or bring you up when you're down plays a big role in everyday life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced setbacks such as injuries and balancing a demanding schedule of school, sports, and activities. I have also faced personal challenges. These experiences have taught me perseverance, time management, and how to stay motivated even when things get tough.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive program where I can contribute to a driven team culture while also excelling academically. I want a school that challenges me in the classroom as I prepare for hopefully a pre-med track and gives me the opportunity to keep growing as an athlete and person. I also want to play with a team that treats each other like family and has a really strong team culture.
