She finished with the sixth-most attempts with 1,216 but her kill percentage (.396) was far and away the best of anyone who attempted at least 1,200 swings in 2019.</p>
<p>--- Wilton’s Drake was the front-runner for kill percentage among sophomores at .425. That placed her second in Iowa overall among hitters with at least 700 attack attempts. She is currently uncommitted.</p>

<p>--- Western Dubuque’s Maahs ranked 14<sup>th</sup> overall in the state with her assist total. She quarterbacked a young Bobcats team that surprised Class 4A (Iowa’s second-largest division) with a run to the state championship game. Maahs squared off against Sergeant Bluff-Luton’s Madison Wilcoxon, a fellow sophomore, in the title match.</p>
<p>--- Pleasant Valley’s Ruff had the most assists per set among sophomores with 8.94. The Spartans were state semifinalists in Iowa’s largest class, 5A.</p>
<p>--- Unity Christian’s Byker also ran a state tournament offense. Her team lost in the 3A quarterfinals to eventual runner up Kuemper Catholic.</p>
