Middle Blocker's Making an Impact the back half of the season

One thing is for certain, if you have an imposing middle to command the net, your team's in a position to dominate. These featured middles have good eye work, a quick first step, and are elite defenders at the net. They block big and score with intention and purpose.    [player_tooltip player_id='500615' first='Bailey' last='Rosander'] is a hard working middle who transitions fast and plays with urgency. She is comfortable attacking in front and behind the setter. With a high reach and attacking point she establishes herself confidently in the middle with range and maturity.   Rosander's footwork and ability to read the setter helps her set up well-timed blocks to create positive touches for her defense to get back in system. She is confident playing defense and puts pace and accuracy behind the ball at the service line.     Power. She transitions hard and makes herself an option to stay involved in the offense. Her timing and spacing is consistent whether she's on a 3, a push, or a 1. She has a commanding presence at the net who sees her hitters well and slows down attacks.     Taytum Nelson is a dominant force at the net on both sides of the game. Blocking wise she covers tracks across the net quickly, sets up well-timed blocks that intimidates hitters. Offensively, she finds different ways to score off of a variety of sets insinuating her scoring capabilities. Nelson stays engaged through every phase of the game and puts out great energy that the Vikings feed off of.     Very engaged, present, player in all aspects of her position. Isabella "Bella" Beatty, showcases a lot of maturity and discipline at the net offensively and defensively. She has great sense of timing, elevates well and contacts the ball at a high point that makes it difficult for blockers to get a stop on her. She can run any set in front or behind and find ways to score. Beatty has a developed range and knows when she needs to bury a ball or place it in an open spot.   Blocking wise she has a strong, fast first step that helps her cover a lot of ground to help close blocks.     A recent addition to the UHSAA volleyball scene and an imposing one at that. [player_tooltip player_id='740818' first='Berkleigh' last='Minnick'] displays impressive power, range, and IQ on the offensive and defensive side. She is a disciplined blocker with efficient footwork and eye work to close blocks. Offensively, Minnick can score in front and behind the setter. Her fast arm swing, reach, and vision help her score around, through, and off the block.     A 6'1 middle blocker with good range and timing is key contributor for the Vikings' success. [player_tooltip player_id='827433' first='Molly' last='Mitchell'] generates a lot of power behind the ball with the keen ability to find holes in defenses. She transitions quickly off the net and has good sense of timing and spacing. As a blocker she reads her hitters well and makes smart decisions, including when to drop her hands into seams or use her arms independently to cut off a swing.   Mitchell is an effective server that frustrates passers and disrupts potential patterns and attacking systems.
