Harper is a 2030 libero who played with a maturity on the floor that you do not always see in players this young. Her reads in the back row were ahead of her class year and she was getting to balls early rather than reacting after the fact. The court coaches running the Houston Showcase noted her first-step quickness and the consistency of her platform mechanics across both sessions of the event. She kept her teammates talking and never let a tough point bleed into the next one. At 5’4″ there is still plenty of physical development in front of her but the foundational tools are already there. She is a player to keep tabs on in the 2030 class. We love her commitment to her craft as we have seen her in back to back showcases in Dallas and now Houston. Keeney’s hard work and solid defensive skills didn’t go unnoticed, and made of her one of the most interesting Class of 2030 liberos in action on Saturday. She communicated very well with everyone around her and was always ready to share and receive feedback. Keeney was always alert on the back row and used her agility and technical skills to make an impact. She covered a lot of ground when playing defense and stood out for her ability to control hard-driven swings.
