About Olivia
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style as a setter is all about staying composed and reading the game. I love being the one to run the offense, setting up my hitters for success, and keeping the other side guessing. I focus on smart decision-making, consistent sets, and staying vocal to keep the team connected.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’d say I have a calm and steady mentality. I try to stay focused, support my teammates, and keep learning from every experience. I’m always working to improve and do what’s best for the team, no matter what role I’m in.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I've been involved in the National Charity League (NCL) organization since I was in the seventh grade, and I've played club volleyball since I was 10 years old.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my involvement with the National Charity Council, I’ve developed a strong sense of leadership and service. It’s taught me how to work effectively with others toward a common goal, communicate with people from different backgrounds, and stay committed to something bigger than myself. It’s also helped me grow in responsibility and time management.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge I’ve faced is always being the youngest person in my grade. At times, it’s made me feel like I had to work harder to prove myself, both academically and socially. But over time, it’s taught me how to be more mature, resilient, and confident in who I am. It’s pushed me to stay focused, speak up for myself, and not let age define what I’m capable of.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college where I can compete at a high level in volleyball while also preparing for a career in education. I’d love to be part of a strong, supportive team culture and a program that values both academics and athletics. Ideally, the school would have a great education or teaching program and a close-knit community where I can grow as both a student-athlete and a future educator.
