About Pranshi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a smart, fast-paced setter who focuses on consistency, strong court awareness, and making quick decisions under pressure. I prioritize putting my hitters in the best position to succeed while keeping the offense balanced and competitive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive, hardworking, and team-oriented, with a calm mindset under pressure. I like leading by example, staying positive in tough moments, and keeping my teammates motivated and focused. I’m always looking for ways to improve my game, communicate better on the court, and bring energy and consistency to my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m involved in several activities outside of volleyball, including BASIS Scottsdale Model UN, BASIS Scottsdale Neuroscience and Brain Bee, BASIS Scottsdale Biology Olympiad, BASIS Scottsdale Leadership, and Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research, where I serve as Co-Chair. I am also a member of the Scottsdale Mayor’s Youth Council and the Scottsdale Youth Substance Awareness.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through both academics and volleyball. I’ve learned how to stay organized, work well under pressure, and contribute effectively in group settings. My community service experiences have also strengthened my responsibility, empathy, and commitment to helping others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve dealt with a knee injury that temporarily limited my ability to play volleyball at full capacity. It was challenging both physically and mentally, especially being away from the court. However, I focused on my recovery, stayed involved with my team in other ways, and worked on strengthening my mindset and understanding of the game. The experience taught me patience, resilience

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a highly rigorous, academically strong university with strong support for pre-med or science-focused students. My top choices are Vanderbilt University and Johns Hopkins University because of their strong medical school pathways and research opportunities. I’m aiming to pursue a career in medicine, potentially as a musculoskeletal radiologist or pediatric neuro-oncologist.
