With the playoffs underway and some teams concluding their seasons, it's time to spotlight the talented 2029 players who have made significant contributions to their teams' success this season. These young athletes have showcased their skills and determination on the court, proving that age is just a number when it comes to impact. In this article, we highlight some of the rising stars who are not only making waves this year but also setting the stage for future greatness.

[player_tooltip player_id='897210' first='Olivia' last='Heine'] – Holt
Olivia burst onto my radar during Holt's impressive district semifinal match against Washington. As an opposite hitter, she showcases tremendous power in her attacks and solid blocking skills. Olivia excels at hitting the seam and employing a "thumb down" technique to effectively target the ball line. Her reliable serve adds another dimension to her game, making her a valuable outlet from the back row. With her talent and work ethic, she is poised to become one of Holt's standout players.

[player_tooltip player_id='897206' first='Tessa' last='Janes'] – Hannibal
Standing at 5'8", Tessa is a dynamic libero who covers the court effortlessly. Her impressive top-spin jump serve, combined with her solid passing and defensive skills, has made her a key player for Hannibal in her first season. Currently ranking among the top three in digs and serve reception, Tessa's contributions have been vital to the team's success.

Claire Booth – Clayton
Claire has been instrumental in Clayton's success this season, helping the team finish with a 14-11 record. The 5'10" middle hitter led the Greyhounds in both kills and blocks, proving to be a formidable opponent for any defense. Claire's quick transitions and availability on every ball, combined with her powerful hitting and enthusiastic blocking, make her a standout player on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='774311' first='Nora' last='Butler'] – Kirkwood
The young Pioneers, having won 21 games this season, have a bright future with talents like Nora. At 5'11", this bouncy middle hitter is set to make an even bigger impact next year after another season of club ball. Nora's ability to adjust in mid-air allows her to hit virtually any set, and she finished her first season with an impressive 155 kills and 82 blocks.

Kate McLean – Marquette
Every time I watch Marquette play, Kate impresses. The Mustangs feature a mix of young talent, including multiple 2029 players alongside a strong 2026 class. In their district win over Kirkwood, Kate contributed two crucial kills that helped Marquette secure a spot in the district finals. Her consistent improvement showcases her potential as a key player for the Mustangs.

[player_tooltip player_id='888898' first='Penelope' last='Glosier'] – Burroughs
As Burroughs advances to the district championship match, Penelope is making a significant impact on the Bombers' success. The 5'10" middle hitter ranks third on her team in kills but stands out for her efficiency, boasting an impressive hitting percentage of .370. Her ability to find the court consistently makes her a crucial asset for Burroughs.

Lily Tolle – Nerinx Hall
Nerinx Hall is currently in a rebuilding phase, but has promising talent in Lily. Initially not a varsity starter, she quickly earned her spot after just one weekend of the season. Finishing with 176 kills, Lily ranked second on her team and showcased her raw potential. With her powerful hitting and fearless approach to taking big swings, she has significant growth potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='786648' first='Ava' last='Mussey'] – MICDS
Ava is a rising star with a bright future ahead. With the right guidance, she has the potential to become a dominant outside hitter for the Rams. Her explosive power and athleticism have played a crucial role in leading MICDS back to the district championship match. Keep an eye on her development; she's just getting started!
