<p>Hackett High School senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='808123' first='Michaelyn' last='Freeman'] has been named Prep Dig Arkansas Player of the Year after capping off a remarkable high school volleyball career. Freeman, a University of Tulsa commit and the 2024 Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, led Hackett to back-to-back state championships in 2024 and 2025, after helping the Hornets reach the state finals in both 2022 and 2023.</p>

<p>In 2025, Freeman played in 97 sets and finished with 501 kills on a .366 hitting percentage. She added 230 digs, 33 total blocks, and 81 assists, demonstrating her ability to impact every part of the game. Freeman's consistent production on both offense and defense made her a key player in every rotation and a major reason Hackett was able to defend its state title.</p>

<p>Freeman's impact goes beyond the numbers. She has guided her teammates in high-pressure situations, helped younger players develop, and set the standard for effort and commitment on the court. Her leadership has made Hackett one of the most dominant programs in the state over the last four seasons. </p>

<p>Over her career, Freeman totaled 318 sets played, 1,413 kills, a .361 hitting percentage, 73 total blocks, 711 digs, and 206 assists, establishing herself as one of the most accomplished players in Arkansas volleyball history. Her ability to consistently perform in big matches helped Hackett reach four straight state finals, winning the last two.</p>
