We are just a day away from the 2020 Volleyball Draft.

The first and second rounds will be held on Thursday, with the first eight picks being announced on our Twitter account starting at 11 a.m. and being released every 30 minutes following. Be sure to follow us.

There’s already a lot of discussion about our Big Board for the draft, so today it’s time to look at some sleepers. These are players that could bring a greater impact to the team than their overall rank may indicate.

[player_tooltip player_id="24844" first="Alyssa" last="Borellis"], S/MH/OPP: Borellis is a sleeper just due to her ability to play nearly every position on the floor and excel. The Notre Dame Prep/Michigan Elite Class of 2022 player is a standout setter, but also a great finisher at the net. A team can really have a lot of options with the roster by drafting her.

[player_tooltip player_id="24843" first="Cari" last="Bohm"], MH: Bohm was injured during her sophomore season with Ann Arbor Huron, but has exploded in the 2020 club season with Legacy. Her 6’4” frame and explosiveness at the net makes her one of the top middles in this draft.

[caption id="attachment_71415" align="alignright" width="213"] [player_tooltip player_id="50300" first="Anna" last="Smith"][/caption]

[player_tooltip player_id="50300" first="Anna" last="Smith"], OH: All Smith has done is guided Mendon to a pair of Division 4 state championships and then bettered herself on a talent-rich FaR Out squad. Being overlooked by some other hitters in the state could be all the motivation she needs to excel for the team that drafts her.

[player_tooltip player_id="24834" first="Anna" last="Leigh Alford"], S: A key position, Alford has managed to excel in her few years with Mt. Pleasant and dedicates herself by making the long travel to play for FaR Out in club season. The 2022 setter could find herself as a starting setter in this draft and get a chance to feed some great hitters.

[player_tooltip player_id="23440" first="Madison" last="Grace"], OH/RS: The Fraser/Team D Class of 2021 product can play on each side of the net and use her explosiveness to make a great 1-2 punch for the team that will select her in this draft.

[player_tooltip player_id="50299" first="Sage" last="Kissman"] OH: Kissman is a determined outside that is going to be a nice pickup in the draft. She will provide great hitting depth and has shown that she can handle every aspect of the game while playing for Mason and Five1 Athletics.

[caption id="attachment_60567" align="alignright" width="300"] Avery Horejsi[/caption]

Avery Horejsi, L/DS: Securing a sound defense is important in building a team and this Class of 2021 L/DS from Walled Lake Central/Unified is as tenacious as they come in the back row. She’s also got great leadership qualities.

[player_tooltip player_id="66328" first="Ava" last="Sarafa"], S: The Class of 2023 setter is one of a handful of young prospects to feel good about adding in this draft. She was thrown into the fire, setting for Marian last fall and continues to improve her skills at Michigan Elite. A lot of potential in this young setter.
