One moment during a libero drill revealed a lot about Kendra Killian.

After missing a ball she felt she should have reached, she immediately asked for another opportunity.

Not because she was frustrated.

Because she wanted to figure it out.

That response reflects the type of athlete she appears to be.

As the camp progressed and the speed of play increased, Kendra found herself trusting her instincts more. Reps that once required extra thought started becoming more automatic. Her reads felt cleaner. Her reactions felt quicker.

The coaches reinforced several messages throughout the day, but one in particular stayed with her. Skills matter, but so do attitude, body language, and how athletes respond after mistakes.

Those qualities often become visible when the game gets faster.

Kendra’s reflections suggest she is beginning to understand how much value those details can carry.

Kendra stood out with her consistency, communication, and defensive command. She competed at a high level from the first rep, reading hitters well and producing clean digs that allowed her team to transition into offense. Her passing held firm throughout the showcase and her calm leadership helped stabilize every drill she stepped into.

Kendra’s ability to influence the court with both her voice and her defensive execution made her the undeniable MVP of this session.
