The Division 4 regionals are going to feature some of the most compelling matchups in the state. There's a good chance we will see multiple top-10 teams collide this week.

Here's a breakdown of the eight D4 regional brackets.

Regional 25 at L'Anse

Semifinals: Crystal Falls Forest Park vs. Hancock; Norway vs. Ishpeming

Breakdown: Two of the best in the UP meet in a semifinal as No. 5 Forest Park takes on No. 9 Hancock. Forest Park has already got the best of Hancock, as well as Norway and Ishpeming. It's hard to see any of the three teams being able to change that up this week, but Forest Park can't be taking any of them lightly, either.

Finals Prediction: Forest Park over Ishpeming

Regional 26 at St. Ignace

Semifinals: Newberry vs. St. Ignace; Gaylord St. Mary vs. Atlanta

Breakdown: Newberry and St. Ignace have had a number of close matches this fall, so expect that semifinal to be very close. Atlanta has been on a roll throughout the season. It looks like the Huskies are going to be the team to beat unless Gaylord St. Mary can put on its best performance of the season. From there, its finals opponent is a coin toss.

Finals Prediction: Atlanta over St. Ignace

Regional 27 at Buckley

Semifinals: Traverse City Christian vs. Bellaire; Onekama vs. Hale

Breakdown: This is shaping up to be a really competitive region. 10th-ranked Onekama is the lone ranked team in the bracket, but Traverse City Christian already holds a win over them. However, Bellaire owns a win over TC Christian, while Hale has the capability to play spoiler against anyone. Expect a lot of close sets and for this title to be decided by a timely dig.

Finals Prediction: Onekama over TC Christian

Regional 28 at Carson City

Semifinals: Fowler vs. Mason County Eastern; GR Sacred Heart vs. MP Sacred Heart

Breakdown: It's a Sacred Heart battle when No. 4 MP Sacred Heart takes on HM Grand Rapids Sacred Heart in the semifinal. The Irish already own a win over their similar-named foe, and Mt. Pleasant's squad is accustomed to performing well this time of year. Fowler is ranked No. 2 and has the edge on Mason County Eastern. The Eagles took a set from SHA earlier this year, but the Irish still got the win. The Eagles have been so close to getting to Battle Creek, can they come through with a major step this week?

Finals Prediction: MP Sacred Heart over Fowler

Regional 29 at Mendon

Semifinals: Mendon vs. Martin; St. Joseph Michigan Lutheran vs. Battle Creek St. Philip

Breakdown: Top-ranked Mendon gets to host its own regional, which includes the program with the most state championships in MHSAA volleyball history. Martin has had a nice year, but it's going to be a lot to ask to upset Mendon on its home floor on Tuesday. It will be tough to pick against St. Philip in the other semifinal. The Tigers are always among the top D4 contenders, but I'm not sure they can find a way to take three sets from Mendon in a regional final.

Finals Prediction: Mendon over St. Philip

Regional 30 at Petersburg

Semifinals: Lansing Christian vs. Camden-Frontier; Hillsdale Academy vs. Adrian Lenawee Christian

Breakdown: The Pilgrims held off a game Webberville team last week, while Camden-Frontier battled Reading in a five-set district final. Both teams don't have eye-popping records, but they built up some scars to be ready for November volleyball. Expect this one to be close. No. 7 Lenawee Christian draws HM Hillsdale Academy in what should be another great semifinal. Lenawee Christian handled Hillsdale earlier in the year, but Hillsdale Academy looks like a different team since then.

Finals Prediction: Lenawee Christian over Lansing Christian

Regional 31 at Bloomfield Hills Sacred Heart

Semifinals: Clarkston Everest Collegiate vs. Ann Arbor Christian; Allen Park Inter-City Baptist vs. Southfield Christian

Breakdown: The two-time defending state champions graduated nearly all of their production from last year, yet CEC is still in the mix for another title. That's a credit to their coach and program. That CHSL schedule should keep it rolling against Ann Arbor Christian. Inter-City Baptist is the team to look out for. The Chargers challenged themselves against D1 and D2 programs, good ones, and it made them a stronger team. I like their chances to win a pair of games over some solid teams like Southfield Christian.

Finals Prediction: Inter-City Baptist over Everest Collegiate

Regional 32 at Ubly

Semifinals: Deckerville vs. Austin Catholic; Genesee Christian vs. Ubly

Breakdown: Ubly is ranked No. 3 and gets to host the regional. That's a tough recipe for any of these three teams to pull off an upset against them. The other semifinal should be good. Deckerville has racked up some good wins, while Austin Catholic took some lumps against bigger programs, but has looked really strong in recent weeks.

Finals Prediction: Ubly over Austin Catholic
