Sophomore middle Logan Myers Logan Myers OH Buford | 2029 State GA leads Buford with 70 blocks and also owns the team’s best hitting percentage in its latest update. At 6-foot-2, she already has the physical dimensions coaches look for in the middle. MaxPreps.com

What matters now is how efficiently she uses that length. Tall middles can get away with simply reaching when they’re young. As the game gets faster, footwork and hand position become far more important. Logan has to close the seam, press instead of floating and make sure she isn’t giving attackers a gap between herself and the pin blocker.

Offensively, her development may be even more interesting. If she can become comfortable running different tempos rather than waiting on one predictable middle ball, that size becomes much more difficult to defend. The block numbers have earned attention; the next evaluation is how complete the rest of the middle game becomes. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Logan entered varsity volleyball as a freshman and quickly became one of Buford’s leading blockers, finishing second on the team with 31 total blocks. She now moves into her sophomore season with an opportunity to take on a larger front-row role within a program replacing several experienced seniors.

Her inclusion is based as much on projection as past production. Young middles often make significant jumps once their reading, transition footwork and connections with setters begin catching up to their physical tools. Logan has already shown that she can contribute at the varsity net. The next stage is becoming a repeatable offensive option while expanding the blocking range that first earned her meaningful court time. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Logan shows strong effort and does a good job staying active along the net. She works to position early and contribute in blocking sequences. Her presence helps reinforce defensive structure. Logan adds consistency to the middle.  ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Logan has clean footwork, a smooth approach, and a high-contact point that makes her swing difficult to defend. She sees the floor early, adjusts to set tempo well, and brings reliable ball control that strengthens both the front and back row. A poised, polished freshman who looks built for long-term six-rotation impact.   ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast
