“Knowing that I was selected for a national showcase and getting the opportunity to compete with some of the best high school players in the country has really motivated me and shown the hard work I’ve put into this sport.”

She then shared how her role on the court continued to expand. “I’ve been working on becoming a six-rotation player. I’ve been focusing on my serve receive and defense, and I feel my court awareness and shot selection set me apart.”

Looking forward, Ava centered her mindset on patience and consistency. “Trust the process and don’t compare yourself to other players. Everyone’s journey is different, and if you stay consistent, work hard, and be confident, opportunities will come.”
