Libby is a 2030 libero who came to Spring and looked comfortable playing against athletes who were in many cases a full class ahead of her. Her floor coverage was one of the things court coaches mentioned most throughout the day, tracking down balls deep in the corners and along the sideline that most defenders her age concede without a second thought. She stayed low and disciplined through every contact, and the shape of her platform did not change whether she was handling a sharp crosscourt attack or digging a ball out of the net seam. Her communication definitely stood out as she led while she was on the floor and also on the sideline. The composure she showed in the scrimmage segments when the pace of play elevated was the quality that stood out most to the evaluators in attendance. At 5’4″ with her entire high school career still ahead of her, the foundation she showed in Spring suggests the development curve is going to be a steep and exciting one to watch.
