Hot Start To Registration For Prep Dig Sizzle High School Summer Event

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The thirst for some volleyball is real with a hot start to Prep Dig Sizzle Events to be held at the Champion Center in Appleton with the JV on Wednesday, July 8 and the Varsity Tournament July 9 and 10.  Here are a few highlights of teams who have registered in the first week. </span></p> <p><strong>River Falls (Title Photo)</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Wildcats have been to state the past four years with three consecutive final four finishes.  This year’s team will have a bit of a different look after graduating a dominant Senior class, however they do return Minnesota commit [player_tooltip player_id="12959" first="Anna" last="Wolf"] along with [player_tooltip player_id="81259" first="Haley" last="Graetz"] who is one to watch out of the Class of 2022 that can play in the middle or on the pin.  Also, keep tabs on the Class of 2023 athletes from RF who have had a big offseason playing club at Kokoro. </span></p> <p><strong>Top Three Class of 2021 Athletes</strong></p> [caption id="attachment_89136" align="alignright" width="265"] [player_tooltip player_id="21869" first="Brooke" last="Mosher"][/caption] <p><span style="font-weight: 400">[player_tooltip player_id="21869" first="Brooke" last="Mosher"] of Waterloo, Wolf of River Falls, and [player_tooltip player_id="56429" first="Lizzie" last="Binder"] of Sheboygan North all have their high school teams registered for the Sizzle.  Mosher has been a 1st Team All State athlete where she can set and swing, one of the top all around players in the Midwest, she is committed to Illinois.  Wolf is returning from a back injury, but has a touch as a middle at 10’5.  Binder is a six rotation outside who can do it all from serve receive to scoring points.  She even stepped in to set for North last season. </span></p> <p><strong>Teams From All Divisions</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Our goal for this event is to have teams from different areas and different divisions all compete in the opening rounds (as best as we can).  There are the local Division 1 teams such as Appleton East, Appleton North, Kaukauna, Kimberly, as well as Milwaukee area squads who will be in the mix for a state appearance and more with Waukesha West and Pewaukee.  Luxemburg-Casco and McFarland who faced off in the D2 state championship has registered.  Division 3 has Waterloo returning from the state tournament, Cuba City from Western Wisconsin and Oconto who was a sectional runner-up and Division 4 has contenders in Randolph and Prentice, </span></p> <p><strong>Lake Country Lutheran</strong></p> [caption id="attachment_92957" align="alignright" width="279"] Berglin[/caption] <p>Lake Country Lutheran has always been a power in Division 3 with state titles in 2017 and 2018 and are now in Division 2.  The Lightning will be returning a rather young, but extremely talented squad with the likes of outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id="80750" first="Evvie" last="Kaczkowski"], libero [player_tooltip player_id="81255" first="Adriana" last="Studer"] who is one of the top liberos in the Class of 2022, Hannah Kuhlman, and upcoming Class of 2023 setter Hannah Rossing.  </p> <p><strong>Pewaukee and Waukesha West</strong></p> <p>These two teams are definitely going to be in the hunt for a state tournament appearance and will be looking for more.  West has a group of Seniors who saw time at the 2018 state tournament with North Dakota State commit [player_tooltip player_id="80712" first="Alexis" last="Boling"], Seton Hall commit [player_tooltip player_id="80716" first="Anna" last="Holland"], and all around outside Abby Fregein.  Pewaukee returns a strong Senior class with the likes of outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id="33732" first="Jordan" last="Berglin"] who will head to Flager, a Division 2 school in Florida as well as Elsa Sheperd who is a standout in the middle.  These schools are miles apart and will look to be the top dogs in the Milwaukee area as well as the state. </p> <p><strong>State Returners</strong></p> <p><strong>Teams Registered Who Are Coming Off A State Tournament Appearance</strong></p> <p><strong>Division 1</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Appleton North </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">River Falls</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Sun Prairie</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Division 2</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Luxemburg-Casco </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">McFarland</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Wisconsin Lutheran </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Division 3</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Waterloo</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Take a look at who is coming! </strong></p> <p>JV - <a href="https://events.prephoops.com/e/60/attendees">JV Teams</a></p> <p>Varsity - <a href="https://events.prephoops.com/e/59/attendees">Committed Teams</a></p>
