About Arian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a right-side hitter, who can also play middle and outside. I am a versatile and hardworking player both offensively and defensively. I focus on using my strong blocking skills to slow down or stop the opposing outside hitters, and I am ready to attack when my team needs a point. I take responsibility and dignity in being a reliable teammate to help my team's overall success.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a competitor who likes to stay positive by remaining focused, coachable, and always looking for ways to improve my game. I enjoy encouraging my teammates, staying calm when moments get tough or challenging, and working hard by doing my part on the court or communicating and supporting from the bench.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in high school volleyball, and Huron Area Volleyball Club. During the spring I volunteer at The Tiny Tots Volleyball program where we host little kids in the gym and introduce them to the sport. I am also in Huron High School Pep Club and Key Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a freshman on the varsity court has helped me develop strong teamwork and communication skills. It allowed me to grow in accountability, learn how to support my teammates in different roles, and lead by example through my efforts and attitude during practices and matches. Being dependable and committed is important in building trust and team success.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing academics, sports, and personal life can sometimes be difficult. These challenges mixed with competing for a starting position at a young age at the varsity level have helped my organization, discipline, and mental toughness.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a strong academic school that has a competitive volleyball program. I'm looking for a coaching and school environment that will push me and grow into the best version of myself academically and athletically.
